I have seen the common goldeneye at a distance, but not close enough to get a good pic. Nice shots!

Such a pretty duck. I sort of hate when the word ‘common’ is used in the name (I understand, but still hate)...it would be rare and wonderful for me to see this beauty!

This species is very common on the Great Lakes during the winter, but there is nary a one around right now.
